This study explored the social relationships of father, mother, and peers by cluster analysis and examined group differences in the loneliness of children. The participants consisted of 520 children in the 5th and 6th grade in elementary schools located in the Seoul, Incheon, and Gyunggi areas. They completed the following measures; the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised(IPPA-R), Friendship Quality Scale(FQS), and Loneliness and Social Dissatisfaction Questionnaire. Data were analyzed by means of cluster analysis and one- way ANOVA. The results from the cluster analysis based on the father attachment, mother attachment and friendship quality suggested the presence of three clusters(¡®Security-Intimacy¡¯, ¡®Insecurity-Isolation¡¯, ¡®Insecurity- Confusion¡¯). Additionally, three groups were found to be related to loneliness.
